Introduction To Digital Class Schedule

 

The “Intro” class is generally more flexible than the schedule below might lead you to believe.

Chris has added enough time to give each student individual attention. He wants you to leave with the day with new skills, understanding and confidence to enjoy your next photo adventure.

9am – Meet at designated venue. Registered students will receive directions in a confirmation email.

Introductions–

Getting to know your camera – a deep dive into the camera functions, modes, live view, quick menu. How to set it up for your shoot.

Hands on – Students will practice setting ISO, Aperture, Shutter Speed, White Balance, Focus Points, Focus Drive and more.

10:30 – Morning Break

10:45 – Review & Questions

What’s a proper exposure? And, how to get it a number of different ways.

Aperture and Shutter Speed – your 2 primary creative controls.

How to use them to create the shot you see in your mind.Hands On – Practice changing settings to acheive different results.

12:00 – Lunch Break

12:30 – Review & Questions

Light-the language of photography.

Hands On – Students will practice shooting objects with different directions, color and qualities of light. We’ll discuss and practice techniques for optimizing depth of field. We’ll review settings and skills for stopping and blurring action.

1:30 – Afternoon Break

1:45 – Review & Questions

Post production-A quick peek into the electronic darkroom; taking your photos from so-so to super.

Sharing your photography-email, printing for wall display, cards even books.

2:45-3:00 – Final Question & Answer Period
