Your Photography Adventure Begins Here

Get a new camera? New to digital? This is the place to start. This class will help you build a solid foundation of photography skills.

Cameras should be fun. You shouldn’t be intimidated by the technology. Instead, we’ll use it to achieve your vision.

Maybe you want to photograph your travels, kids, grandkids, pets, or the special moments in your life. Or, perhaps, your fascination with photography is to explore and express your creativity. Whatever it was that motivated you to pick up a camera, this beginning class will set you down your path on the right foot.

You’ll find that your instructor, nationally acclaimed photographer, Christopher Marona (see Bio) is more than willing to share his 30 years of experience and eager to answer your questions. Chris will help you set up your camera for success.

Hands on Learning

This 6 hour class will mix multi-media presentations with actual practical exercises to reinforce your understanding of the concepts and techniques.

The course is open to all point and shoot, mirrorless, dslr and film camera owners.

Small Classes

To make sure that the instructor can provide individual attention to each person, classes are limited to 10 students.

Camera – whatever you have; digital point and shoots, mirrorless, Dslrs. Film cameras are welcome also.

*Smart phone cameras have made astonishing advances in the past couple of years. Still, we find that even modest entry level digital cameras offer more options, control and ultimately higher quality images. This may not always be the case. But, for now, the beginning digital class will benefit those with cameras that do not make phone calls. We’d be happy to arrange a private class or, if we receive enough interest, we’ll create a class specifically for smart phone photographers.

The Weminuche Wilderness is a truly amazing setting and experiencing it for 4 days on horseback is a unique experience for a photographer to obtain some really exceptional images.
